18 Days Until Wrestlemania 28: Tables and Ladders and Chairs Oh My

The three way feud between the Hardy Boyz, Edge and Christian, and the Dudley Boyz were perhaps the high water mark of tag team wrestling, which WWE hasn't quite gone to again. The Terri Invitational Tournament in 1999 between Edge and Christian and the Hardy Boyz put both teams on the map. Then the Dudley Boyz had a tables match with the Hardy Boyz at Madison Square Garden in the 2000 Royal Rumble. The next chapter in the feud was the three way Ladder Match, featuring tables, with Edge and Christian winning their first WWF Tag Team Titles.

Then at Summerslam, a twist was added. Mick Foley announced the first ever TLC(Tables, Ladders, and Chairs) match, with Edge and Christian bringing the chairs, The Hardy Boyz being the masters of the ladder, and The Dudley Boyz bringing the tables. Once again, Edge and Christian really managed to hang on the WWF Tag Team Titles in TLC, proving them to be the ultimate team. The three teams switched the belts off in various matches over the next feud months, leading to TLC II, at Wrestlemania X-7, with the Dudley Boyz defending against Edge and Christian and the Hardy Boyz.

TLC II had a mixed response between many fans. There were some that enjoyed TLC II because of the insane stunt show it was. Some fans hated TLC II because of the insane stunt show it was. Regardless all three things took things to the next level for Wrestlemania, at TLC II. This match had to play a huge part of Edge's injury problems and the vices of several competitors in this matches. Lita, Rhyno, and Spike Dudley all got involved, but the end to TLC came in the same way the three way ladder match and TLC I occurred, with Edge and Christian managing to win the WWF Tag Team Titles for a record setting seven times. Seven tag team title reigns in a year...make of that what it was.

Still TLC II was a spectacle, whether it was one that it was liked or not, it was one match that many have a strong opinion of on Wrestlemania history. And more moments will be made, more spectacles, on April 1st 2012 at Wrestlemania 28.
