27 Days Until Wrestlemania 28

And now your feature presentation. Today's match, we're going to talk about Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho from Wrestlemania 19 in Seattle. They had the famous feud in 2008 with many great matches, but this was the catalyst for Shawn Michaels to return to a full time schedule, having worked a feud with Triple H upon his return in late 2002 and also fit in a brief run as World Heavyweight Champion. But this was the night where  Shawn Michaels stepped right into the ring, to take on Chris Jericho. Jericho had been railing on Shawn Michaels for months and the perils between Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho were brought up by WWE time and time again.

The match as it was, was purely great. Shawn Michaels is Mr. Wrestlemania for a reason, he always kicks things up more than a few notches at the grandest stage of them all. However, not to be outdone, Chris Jericho did kick some things off. Back and forth action, with Chris Jericho reminding us that he can hang at an upper level and Shawn Michaels reminding us why he stole the show during many times at his peak. Some people suggested the wrong person went over, but really it was unimportant at that point. Michaels wins with a roll up on Chris Jericho.

The aftermath was far more glorious than the entire match. Chris Jericho acted like he was going to shake the hand of Shawn Michaels but it was a shocking swerve(albeit in a good way) and Michaels gets kicked right in the groin. They would have a couple more matches, before things really got rocking and Shawn Michaels would go onto the main event at Wrestlemania 20.

Which we will be discussing tomorrow as the countdown to Wrestlemania 28 continues.
