Kurt Angle Injures Hamstring

A little TNA news, shoved right into  the joyous Ring of Honor and Wrestlemania stuff for this weekend. It appears that Kurt Angle has suffered a torn hamstring which will render him unable to compete in the Olympic Trials. So that means Kurt Angle will be out of the Olympics, because he will be unable to make the trials.

Kurt Angle Suffers Hamstring Injury Forcing Him to "Miss" Olympic Trials.

Of course, anyone with the most base amount of their brain cells needed to live, would not have believed Kurt Angle's fanciful claims that he would be competing in the Olympics to begin with. Except for maybe Kurt Angle himself, who perhaps might be one of the more insane and delusional people in wrestling in this day. And this is a business that has Hulk Hogan, but I think that most of the time, Hogan is conscious of the fact that he is working everyone. Of course, it works against him, as sometimes he works himself.

So Kurt Angle suffers this hamstring injury, thus dashing his Olympic hopes. Of course, I wouldn't be surprised if we see Kurt Angle wrestle at Lockdown. Obviously an injury that would force him to be unfit to qualify with the Olympics, which likely does have a very strict drug testing policy would be something that would be no problem with TNA. Hypothetically speaking, if Kurt Angle would take a few pain killers, he'll be fine. This is the man who once wrestled Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 19 when with a broken neck, with Lesnar dumping him on his head several times.

Jeff Hardy versus Kurt Angle is tentative for Lockdown and I do wonder if this hamstring injury is an easy out for Kurt Angle, so he can save face when he is not able to compete because of his physical injuries or he is utterly humiliated by someone younger without injury problems. Yet the Kurt Angle Olympic hopes are finally dashed, but I think that many knew that this wasn't going to be realistic. Other than Kurt Angle.
