WWE RAW Review 5/21/12

Here's Johnny! John Laurinaitis is out to the ring in a motorized wheelchair with Eve, suffering severe injuries. John Cena will go one on one with the Big Show at No Way Out. Show is out and the fans are not too happy with him selling out but as Show points out, they didn't give much sympathy to him. Show plans to knock Cena out on June 17th at No Way Out. Out comes David Otunga and we've got Cena against Otunga tonight, with Cena knocking down Otunga. Opening match served its purpose for what it was.

John Cena defeated David Otunga

John Cena breezes through Otunga, ending the match with the STF. As if we expected anything different. It's still the John Cena show after all.

Then, Darren Young, Titus O'Neil, Tyler Reks, and Curt Hawkins all jump Cena. Oh my, it's Nexus Black and Silver. Sheamus runs out and makes the save. Johnny makes a three on two handicap match for later, with Lumberjack Rules.

Ricardo Rodiguez is out to introduce Alberto Del Rio but Santino Marella is out, for some funs and games. Since Ricardo has it in his contract that he must get beat up, Santino Cobras him right down to the canvas. Santino introduces Alberto Del Rio much to Del Rio's disgust.

Oh and three hour RAWs starting in July, I hope that they are an utter dismal failure in the ratings and it's an idea that gets canned after three weeks. Two hour Raws can be a chore at times. The perfect length for a television wrestling show is one hour, maybe ninety minutes. Any more and you start with the shameless filler.

Randy Orton defeated Alberto Del Rio via disqualification

This match was what it was. Not the best match right out there but most certainly not the worst match. Orton gained the advantage but Chris Jericho entered the ring and gave Orton a Codebreaker. He gave Randy Orton two more Codebreakers. This feud does make sense given that Orton was the one who put Jericho out of WWE back in 2010.

Daniel Bryan is out. He claims that Punk tapped out to the YES!Lock but out comes Punk to remind Daniel Bryan that he was pinned a split second before the tap out, so it doesn't count. Then we have some unfinished business from Smackdown for Daniel Bryan, as here's Kane!

Daniel Bryan defeated Kane via disqualification

Kane utterly destroys Daniel Bryan with a chair. And then Punk slides into the ring, putting Daniel Bryan in the Anaconda Vice and does mocking yes chants. We have to have a Submission Match between these two. There is just no way around that.

A.J is out acting all unstable, like many women I've met in my life. Punk isn't sure how to deal with that, like a few men I've meant in my life. Then again, as I've said in real life, he's likely already been there, done that, if you know what I'm saying.

Recap of last week with Paul Heyman and Triple H

The WWE Intercontinental Champion Christian defeated Jinder Mahal

Christian is back on form, having a decent match with the rather inadequate professional wrestler known as Jinder Mahal. Christian has a nice little match, picking up the win with the Frog Splash. Christian will likely have better matches, with better opponents. Let's have him fight Antonio Cesaro eventually. Now that would be awesome.

Beth Phoenix defeated Kelly Kelly with the Glam Slam

Meh

John Cena and Sheamus battled Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, and Lord Tensai to a no contest

Lumberjack Match and boy this ended right into a muddled mess. Everyone got involved with the match being thrown out. Babyfaces are out to make the save. Big Show knocks out John Cena.

What an uninspiring episode of RAW. This doesn't really give me much confidence with the horrors that the three hour RAWs will give. Watch FCW, watch NXT, watch Superstars, ROH, even watch Impact, hell watch Over the Limit from last night, for some better shows. Just don't watch that main event.
