ago. WWE Superstars for August 11th 2011 aired exclusively on
WWE.Com. Santino Marella joined forces with Evan Bourne to take on
the WWE Tag Team Champions of Michael McGillicutty and David Otunga.
This show took place three days away from WWE Summerslam 2011. Join
this report as he watched WWE Superstars from August 11th 2011.
WWE Superstars 8/11/11.
Tonight, the duo of Evan Bourne and Santino
Marella took on Michael McGillicuty and David Otunga, the Nexus, the
WWE Tag Team Champions, on WWE Superstars.
Ted DiBiase pinned Trent Barreta with the Dream Street
Baretta started out on
fire but DiBiase fought back. DiBiase dropkicked Barreta as he jumped
off of top rope. Cody Rhodes is watched from the back, as DiBiase
continued to beat down Barreta. The Dream Street attempt is reversed
into a cradle for a two count.
Barreta hit the Gobstopper Knee and followed
it up with a a tope atomico. That flurry of wresling moves was not
enough for Trent to pin DiBiase. DiBiase caught Barreta off the
ropes and its time for Dream Street for the pin. WWE Superstars
kicked off with a solid but not special opening match on WWE
Superstars.
Santino Marella is determined to get a win
over the Nexus and he's recruited Evan Bourne to get the job done.
Its CM Punk against John Cena, in a title unification match on
August 14th 2011. at Summerslam 2011 and Triple H will be the special
guest referee. Its WWE Summerslam 2011 and it was sponsored by 7-11.
Alicia Fox pinned Tamina with the Scissors Kick.
The reason why these two divas are fighting as both want a chance
at the WWE Diva's Championship held by Kelly Kelly. This diva's match
was not the best. Alicia Fox fought back with a series of dropkicks
but Tamina went for a Samoan Drop. Alicia slipped. out and hits the
Scissor Kick. Alicia's finisher blasted Tamina right across the back
of the head for the pin on WWE Superstars this week.
Wrestlemania 27 aired on NBC on August 13th 2011 or at least a
clipped version.
WWE Summerslam 2011 will take place on August 14th 2011.
Brodis Clay pinned Aaron James.
Clay squashed another helpless victim. Brodus Clay nailed a
running powerslam but pulled his opponent up at a two count.
Avalanche in the corner set up a running cross body press. This move
squashed Aaron James like a bug. You might as well count to one
hundred. Brodus Clay picked up another impressive win on WWE
Superstars.
Recap is aired of CM Punk against John Cena
from Money in the Bank. We see the events that followed, which lead
up to WWE Summerslam 2012 when the Linear WWE Champion CM Punk faced
off against the Interim WWE Champion John Cena. Plus, Christian
defended his World Heavyweight Title against Randy Orton.
Michael McGillicutty and David Otunga defeated Evan Bourne
and Santino Marella when McGillicutty pinned Santino with the
Swinging Neckbreaker.
Main event time, and this match was not the best main event. There
was a long beatdown on Santino by the Nexus but the hot tag was made.
Evan Bourne gave us a couple of moments of excitement. Then Santino
had the Cobra Glove on and waffled Otunga. Santino gets nailed by
Michael McGillicutty with the swinging neckbreaker for the pin.
McGillicutty and Otunga picked up the win.

High Cross Body Block.
