Impact Wrestling 09/27/12 Results

Impact Wrestling aired live on Spike TV on September 27th 2012. This show featured the run up to the promotion's biggest show of the year, Bound for Glory. Hulk Hogan vowed to take the fight to Aces and Eights. Also, in tag team action, Austin Aries and Jeff Hardy joined forces to take on Bobby Roode and Bully Ray.

The Wrestling Emporium will run down the results along with three things I liked and did not like about this show.

Impact Wrestling 09/27/12 Report.

Daniels picked up the win over Chavo Guerrero and Kurt Angle. Tara became the number one contender to the Knockout's Title over ODB. Samoa Joe became the new Television Champion over Mr. Anderson. Bully Ray and Bobby Roode defeated Jeff Hardy and Austin Aries.

What I Liked:

The wrestling action on this show was pretty good. The three way opening match would be the cream of a very solid show.

Samoa Joe is back in business with a good win over Mr. Anderson. Joe is the perfect guy to hold the Television Title. I'm guessing Magnus and Joe at Bound for Glory for the title, which I approve of.

Tag team main event with Austin Aries and Jeff Hardy against Bully Ray and Bobby Roode added the solid wrestling for this evening. Although, I do wonder why Bully Ray didn't win the Bound for Glory series. He's the man who most deserves the World Championship based on his improvement and how he's been pushed. Putting the ball in the hands of Jeff Hardy is like playing with gasoline.

What I Didn't Like.

Remember how James Storm and Bobby Roode were the biggest things in the company. Then Lockdown happened, where James Storm should have won the title. It's been a slow downhill slide for both of them. We're going right back down the rabbit hole after a year of solid television. I hope I'm wrong.

The disturbing lack of depth in the women's division just gets more obvious every week. Most of the roster just seems to have disappeared.

The Gutcheck Challenge started out like something amusing, but it now has become a waste of time.

And this next bit doesn't fit into either category.

Aces and Eights: It's Joseph Park's brother that's behind this entire thing, isn't it? Chris, you know Abyss, and here we go, two years ago. Maybe Jeff Hardy will turn heel again randomly.    Maybe we'll have another two year Jeff Jarrett against Kurt Angle feud, and another five years of AJ Styles against Daniels. The entire wrestling industry is really stuck on a treadmill right now. There's some good matches, but seriously not impressed with a lot of the stuff.
