WWE Survivor Series 2011 Results

One of the staples of the WWE Calendar Year took place this past Sunday Night. The Survivor Series has been a tradition since 1987, and this year's event was no exception to the rule. The Survivor Series 2012 was headlined by the WWE Championship on the line when CM Punk defended the championship against John Cena and Ryback. Plus The Big Show defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Sheamus, and there was a classic Survivor Series Match. Let's run down WWE Survivor Series 2012.

On the pre-show, the duo of Santino Marella and Zack Ryder, Team CoBro, took on the duo of Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal, of the Three Man Band. Ryder and Santino were the fan favorites in this one, but the return of Drew McIntyre shifted the balance in the favor of the Three Man Band. Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal defeated Team CoBro with help from Drew McIntyre.

An epic classic Survivor Series tag team match took place. Rey Mysterio, Sin Cara, Justin Gabriel, Tyson Kidd, and Brodus Clay took on Darren Young, Titus O'Neil, Primo, Epico, and Tensai. Brodus Clay was the only one eliminated on his team. Darren Young was destroyed by the fan favorite team. Rey Mysterio, Sin Cara, Justin Gabriel, Tyson Kidd, and Brodus Clay defeated Darren Young, Titus O'Neil, Primo, Epico, and Tensai. Rey, Sin Cara, Tyson Kidd, and Justin Gabriel survived the match.

Next up the WWE Diva's Championship was on the line. The devious Eve put her title on the line against Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn looked to win her first WWE Diva's Championship, but Eve was one step ahead of her. Eve kept the WWE Diva's Championship over Kaitlyn. 

The International Superstar Antonio Cesaro put his WWE United States Championship on the line next against the always fun loving R-Truth. Little Jimmy's moral support was not enough. Cesaro picked up the win over R-Truth to keep the title. Antonio Cesaro retained the WWE United States Championship over R-Truth with the Neutralizer. 

Sheamus tried to regain the World Heavyweight Title he lost a month ago against the always dangerous Big Show. Big Show seemingly won the match, but the decision was reversed Sheamus destroyed the Big Show. Sheamus defeated the Big Show via disqualification, Big Show kept the World Heavyweight Title.

Next is the Classic Survivor Series Match, the second one of the evening. Team Foley, featuring Randy Orton, the Miz, Kofi Kingston, Daniel Bryan, and Kane took on Team Ziggler of Dolph Ziggler, David Otunga, Damien Sandow, Alberto Del Rio, and Wade Barrett. David Otunga was a lst minute replacement for the injured Cody Rhodes. It came down to Dolph Ziggler against Randy Orton. Ziggler nailed Orton with a superkick to score the pin. Team Ziggler defeated Team Foley, with Dolph Ziggler as the sole survivor.

CM Punk defended the WWE Championship against John Cena and Ryback in the Triple Threat Match main event. Ryback was taken out by developmental competitors Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns. Punk kept the WWE Championship over John Cena, and holds the belt for a year. In the main event of Survivor Series 2012, CM Punk retained the WWE Championship over Ryback and John Cena.
