Impact Wrestling for December 27th
2012 closed out this year with a bang. Austin Aries stepped into the ring with Bobby
Roode for the main event of Impact Wrestling this week. It’s time to run down
all of the results, and recap the show as it happened. It was the final Open
Fight Night of 2012 as well.

Impact
Wrestling 12/27/12 Review.
What did this reviewer think when
he watched Impact Wrestling 12/27/12? This show had its moments. This was the
final show of 2012, so let’s delve into this one.
The follow up to the big angle
between Bully Ray and Brooke Hogan last week was done right. Hulk was not here
in this week. Although I do wonder what the long term plan is for this
storyline, but I’m sure we’ll find out in due time.
Joe destroying an Aces and 8s
member was what it was. Another unmasking was teased, but tonight was not the
night. They’re really milking this storyline for all its worth.
The Bro Off between Robbie E,
Robbie T, and Jesse was harmless fun. The first time Rob Terry has been
interesting since forever.
Christian York being called out
by Rob Van Dam lead to a nice little match, and Kenny King acted like the
jilted fanboy/lover also worked. Rob Van Dam got the win, but York really has
been the most useful out of all of the Gutcheck guys.
Joseph Park continued to train.
Not as memorable as the last couple of weeks, but still Park continues to rule.
Christopher Daniels and Kazarian’s
mockery of AJ Styles was entertaining, but that just means that this feud will
never die, despite Final Resolution being the final match. The match that
followed against Hernandez and Chavo worked out well. It was an entertaining
tag team bout, and Hernandez and Chavo picked up the win. Kazarian and Daniels
always bring the goods in the ring, but Hernandez and Chavo more than held up
their end of the bargain.
Mr. Anderson potentially joining
Aces and 8s is something that I’m rather cool on. At least we can take his face
off of the milk carton.
Gail Kim against Miss Tessmacher
played up on the history between these two women. It was a revenge match for
Gail Kim, who picked up the win with Eat Defeat.
Austin Aries against Bobby Roode
was the weakest match between the two. That’s not bad, but it had room for
improvement. We’re leading to a Triple Threat Match at Genesis, which is more
than fine. Jeff Hardy stood tall though.
Impact Wrestling had its moments,
but hey Sting returns next week for his revenge.
