Ring of Honor Results for March 24th 2012
The three competitors of the ROH Championship match between Davey Richards, Eddie Edwards, and Roderick Strong are called out. Then the Blind Destiny Competitors make their way out, with Jay Lethal and then Kevin Steen. Jim Cornette is not pleased with the language of many of the competitors.The C and C Wrestling Factory of Caprice Coleman and Cedric Alexander picked up the victory over Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team of Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin. In a match that was regarded as a stepping stone ended with a mild upset, when the Briscoe Brothers interfered and Charlie Haas was waffled right with a steel chair.
Inside Ring of Honor highlighted the matches at the Showdown in the Sun Weekend, with some words from Lance Storm and Mike Bennett highlighting it.
Adam Cole advanced into the March Mayhem defeating Michael Elgin thanks to some botched interference from Kevin Steen. Kyle O'Reilly was on commentary, running down Adam Cole. The House of Truth were beating down on Adam Cole but Eddie Edwards ran out and made the save.
This was the go home show for Showdown in the Sun Night One and Two for Ring of Honor. Showdown in the Sun Night 1 will have the following matches as announced on television so far. Davey Richards puts the Ring of Honor Championship on the line in a Triple Threat Match against Eddie Edwards and Roderick Strong. Lance Storm returns to Ring of Honor, going one on one with "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett, who as always will have Maria Kanellis in his corner. Jay Lethal will put the Ring of Honor Television Championship on the line against Kyle O'Reilly. El Generico is out for revenge when he takes on Wrestling's Worst Nightmare Kevin Steen. The Young Bucks of Matt and Nick Jackson take on the All Night Express of Rhett Titus and Kenny King . Finally in the Proving Ground Match, the ROH Tag Team Champions, Jay and Mark Birscoe take on Mkey Nicholls and Shane Haste.
On Night Two, we will have the Ring of Honor Television Champion Jay Lethal taking on Roderick Strong. "Diehard" Eddie Edwards stepping into the ring with Kevin Steen and Davey Richards squaring off with Michael Elgin. One of these matches will be for the Ring of Honor Championship as per the Blind Destiny rules, depending on who wins the Triple Threat Match on Showdown in the Sun Night 2. It is a grudge match, when the Briscoe Brothers defend their Ring of Honor Tag Team Championship against Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team.
