34 Days Until Wrestlemania 28: Undertaker vs. Big Boss Man

It is thirtyfour days until Wrestlemania 28, on April 1st 2012 from MiamiFlorida, headlined by the long awaited match between the Rock and John Cena. Also, one on one, inside Hell in a Cell, we’ve got the Undertaker againstTriple H. Plus who is in the best in the world with what they do, when CM Punk defendsthe WWE Championship against Chris Jericho. And the 2012 Royal Rumble winnerSheamus challenges Daniel Bryan for the World Heavyweight Title.

With Hell in a Cell being addedto Wrestlemania 28, it’s time to go back to the first time Hell in a Cell occurredat Wrestlemania. At Wrestlemania XV, on March 28th 1999, from PhiladelphiaPennsylvania. It wasn’t pretty but it featured the Undertaker in his Ministryof Darkness Days taking on the Big Boss Man, Vince McMahon’s CorporateEnforcer.

BigBoss Man vs. the Undertaker-not one for the Undertaker Highlight Reil

Undertaker’s Wrestlemania winningstreak has had opponents of all sorts, some of them were really great, somewere fine, and others were below par. This match against the Big Boss Man mighthave been rather fine, had it not been a Hell in a Cell Match. Yet to add a bitof interest, Vince Russo, in all of his wisdom, wrote the storyline last match.A match that has a structure so dangerous, where Michael Cole once quipped that“you can get a finger caught in there.”

And yes, Michael Cole always wasone of the worst commentators that ever lived but to give the devil his due, hehas shown a moderate bit of improvement over the years. But given the depths hewas at during his early years, that was not high praise.

The Undertaker was threateningVince McMahon, blackmailing him to try and get control of the company. It was aconvoluted storyline, but no more than the usual fair. Boss Man squared offagainst the Undertaker, and both men had a fair enough brawl, but by Hell in aCell standards, this might have been completely Undertaker won and then afterthe match, Edge, Christian, and Gangrel, better known as the Brood, hung theBig Boss Man from the Cell as it rose.

I do think that it safe to saythat Undertaker against Triple H at Wrestlemania 28 will be better than theUndertaker’s first Wrestlemania match.
