The Road to WWE Wrestlemaia 28 is still rolling, with WWE Wrestlemania 28 beingthirty five days away on April 1st 2012 from Miami Florida. You knowand love the card by heart to say the very least or at least the main eventmatches. The battle between the Rock and John Cena will be headliningWrestlemania 28. Hell in a Cell will be the battle ground for Triple H againstthe Undertaker one on one. Also, WWE Champion CM Punk takes on Chris Jericho todetermine who is the best in the world and Sheamus gets his title shot byvirtue of winning the Royal Rumble.

Speaking of CM Punk and ChrisJericho, this may be their first ever one on one match at Wrestlemania 28, butthis is not the first time they have butted heads at WWE Wrestlemania. Let’stake a look at the fourth Money In the Bank Match, March 30th 2008in Orlando, featuring CM Punk, Chris Jericho, Carlito, John Morrison, MVP, Mr.Kennedy, and Shelton Benjamin.

Moneyin the Bank 2008 Featuring Chris Jericho and CM Punk

Money in the Bank might be offthe cards this year in favor of a multi man match featuring John Laurinaitisand Teddy Long choosing wrestlers to compete, but it has had many storiedmatches over the years. One of the more storied ones is the seven man Money inthe Bank Match at Wrestlemania 24 and it ties into the storyline for this year,as it is the first time Jericho and Punk have went head to head in WWE.

It should be pointed out that theodd number for this match was because Jeff Hardy was suspended for violatingthe WWE Wellness Policy. The likely possibility was that Jeff Hardy was theintended victor. Instead of issuing a replacement, a seven man money in theBank Match was announced for Wrestlemania 28.

It was a human highlight reel.Shelton Benjamin was a highlight as usual in this match but the other sixwrestlers made their moments. Matt Hardy returned, taking out MVP, thuscontinuing the epic feud that they have been having. In a flash forward to whatmay happen four years from now, it came down to Chris Jericho and CM Punk. Oneon one, for the championship shot and this was the night that CM Punk took hisfirst step to really making it as a WWE Superstar. Jericho narrowly missed thebriefcase and Punk would win his first of two Money in the Bank Matches.
