21 Days Until WWE Wrestlemania 28.

As we all know, the Rock is going to take on John Cena in the main event at Wrestlemania 28 on April 1st 2012 in Miami. However, the last time the Rock competed in a Wrestlemania match was at Wrestlemania 20, with the Rock teaming up with his Rock N Sock Teammate Mick Foley, to take on Evolution of Batista, Randy Orton, and Ric Flair.

A little backstory is needed. In 2003, Mick Foley made his return to WWE after leaving the company for the first time for a little bit. He refereed the Hell in a Cell Match between Kevin Nash and Triple H. A week later, Randy Orton attacked Mick Foley, knocking him down the stairs, to kick off Orton's Legendary Killer Gimmick that was a staple of his character for years and years. Then Foley returned to be the co General Manager, and ran afoul of Randy Orton once again. The stage was set with Mick Foley vs. Randy Orton but Foley decided to walk out of the match, rather than wrestle, thus Orton ran weeks of political like ad attacks on Foley, until Foley returned to attack Randy Orton at the Royal Rumble.

Randy Orton didn't have to take on Mick Foley alone, and he recruited his Evolution chums, Batista and Ric Flair to help beat down Mick Foley. This prompted Foley to call up a friend of his, the Rock and the stage was set. The Rock and Mick Foley, the Rock N Sock Connection, taking on Evolution at Wrestlemania XX.

The match was entertaining with some great sequences. The Rock vs. Ric Flair had some great sequences one on one for the entire world to see. This was one of the better handicap matches in WWE history, with Randy Orton connecting with the RKO on Foley. The Rock was a big part of this match, even if the center focus was between the rising star of Randy Orton and Mick Foley.

The Rock steps in the ring, one on one against John Cena April 1st 2012 at Wrestlemania 28.
