Impact Wrestling 6/21/12

First, let us run down the quick results for Impact Wrestling.

Then AJ Styles and Dixie Carter were apparently helping a drug addict. That's the secret. Yep.

Impact Wrestling 6/21/12 Report

Austin Aries is out after having a week to ponder. Hulk Hogan comes out to get his decision. Aries accepts, on one condition, every X-Division Champion gets the chance to forfeit the title for an X-Division Shot before Destination X. Hogan agrees. Fair enough, and Aries gets his title shot. Roode is out and he's not happy, saying that he's the best in TNA. Aries disputes this and we get a brawl. Fun opening segment to kick things off on Impact Wrestling.

Mr. Anderson promises to win the Bound for Glory Series. To that I say meh.

Mr. Anderson pinned Christopher Daniels in the Bound for Glory Series

Here we go, the moment of truth, the true test for TNA, if they can stick with their guns and learn from the mistakes for the 2011. Bit of a sprint of a match, as all matches in the Bound for Glory Series have a ten minute time limit. Takes me back to the FSN days of Impact. Mic Check and Anderson is on the board with seven points, second place by James Storm who has a commanding lead of twenty points.

AJ Styles and Dixie Carter discuss doing the right thing. The plot has thickened.

Brooke Hogan meets with the Knockouts. ODB, Velvet Sky, Madison Rayne, and Mickie James are your contestants for a Knockout Title Shot. Mickie is heeling it up but Madison Rayne is booted from contention.

Kurt Angle defeated Robbie E in the Bound for Glory Series.

Robbie E makes an open challenge. Angle accepts. German suplex, Ankle Lock, ten points for Kurt Angle in the Bound for Glory Series.

Magnus calls out AJ Styles, calling him a home wrecker. So I guess he's a heel again.

Magnus defeated AJ Styles in the Bound for Glory Series.

Three minute special again. I like more matches but sadly the wrestling does suffer. AJ Styles gets distracted by Daniels and Kazarian and Magnus picks up the win via pinfall to get on the board in the Bound for Glory Series.

Tara defeated Taeler Hendrix

First Gutcheck match for the Knockouts as Taeler Hendrix steps into the ring against Tara. You know what I'd like to see. Someone actually win one of these matches. Tara wins with the Widow's Peak. It was what it was.

Bully Ray warns Joseph Park if he sees either him or Abyss again, it will be the end. I'm pretty sure legally that could be classified as illegal.

James Storm pinned Samoa Joe in the Bound for Glory Series

The man who ended up dirt dead last during the 2011 Bound for Glory takes on the obvious winner. James Storm and Joe have about as good as a match as you can have. Storm nails the Last Call for the pin. Joe goes to attack but doesn't after all.

ODB is out of Knockouts title contention.

Bully Ray will take D'Angelo Dinero for the match in the Bound for Glory series.

D'Angelo Dinero defeated Bully Ray in the Bound for Glory Series

Abyss makes his way down to the ring to cost Bully Ray the match. The distraction by Abyss has Pope to win. Fine for what it was as Pope is now on the Board. Ray avoids the wrath of the monster afterward.

Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam is the final match for the evening, as Hulk Hogan announces.

It is down to Velvet and Mickie to fight Tessmacher for the Knockouts Title. There can only be one and it is Mickie James.

Miss Tessmacher defeated Mickie James to retain the TNA Knockout's Title

Mickie James is in the process of turning heel, with rougher offense and arguing with the referee. Tessmacher catches Mickie off guard and fluke pin. Miss Tessmacher retains the TNA Knockouts Title.

Rob Van Dam defeated Jeff Hardy in the Bound for Glory Series

Another nice little sprint between these two gentlemen. Both men miss high spots and then Jeff Hardy pulls out the Twist of Fate for seven points.

It is now time for the big reveal of what is going on between Dixie and AJ. Apparently AJ Styles and Dixie Carter have been helping a drug addict all of this time. Not Jeff Hardy, but rather some woman named Claire Lynch. Wow, after all of that. Kazarian and Daniels are out and go after Styles and that's the show.

Yeah, that show was, eight matches in two hours, might not have been the best idea. Now granted the action was fine but just something lacking. And yeah, anti-climatic much about the big storyline twist.
