WWE RAW 08/13/12 Review

WWE RAW for August 13th 2012 was the go home show for WWE Summerslam. The contract signing between Brock Lesnar and Triple H took place. Also, The WWE Champion CM Punk and John Cena squared off against the Big Show and Daniel Bryan. The show featured the return of Piper's Pit with Chris Jericho.

WWE RAW Recap and Results 08/13/12.

For those keeping track, this RAW is week four of the three hour shows and the 1003rd episode of RAW.

CM Punk defeated the Big Show via disqualification. RAW opened up this week with the WWE Champion in action. Daniel Bryan arrived after a time and demanded he be put into the WWE Championship Match. Bryan interfered to merit the disqualification. The match was an average opening encounter.

Big Show and Daniel Bryan laid a beating on Punk. John Cena rushed out to make the save. A.J. Lee made CM Punk and John Cena against The Big Show and Daniel Bryan in a tag team match for later tonight.

JTG and Kaitlyn chat. A.J. shows up and gave JTG an opponent for tonight. Everyone had to know where this was going. Kaitlyn fearfully said she doesn't think A.J. is crazy.

Ryback pinned JTG with the Fisherman Buster. Ryback has been fed tonight and picked up a huge win on this three hour RAW.

The WWE Universe got to vote for Piper's Pit. The three guests are Chris Jericho, the Miz, or Dolph Ziggler.

The Free For All Match on YouTube and Facebook for Summerslam will be the WWE United States Champion Santino Marella putting his belt on the line against Antonio Cesaro.

Roddy Piper and Shawn Michaels meet backstage. Michaels showed intimidation for Brock Lesnar.

Heath Slater bragged and R-Truth came out to shut him up.

R-Truth pinned Heath Slater with the Little Jimmy. The legends may be gone but Heath Slater is still the town fool on RAW. He got a flurry of offense but this was a showcase for Truth. Little Jimmy picked up the three.

Titus O'Neil and Darren Young, the Prime Time Players, rushed out and beat up R-Truth. Kofi Kingston was not here so Young and O'Neil had their way with R-Truth. They will get a WWE Tag Team Championship Match at Summerslam.

A recap of Alberto Del Rio's beating at the hands of Sheamus that called off the World Heavyweight Championship Match is replayed.

Sin Cara pinned Tensai. Cara won in around a minute with a huge DDT. For about the fifth or sixth time, Tensai destroyed Sakamoto.

Shawn Michaels continued to worry about Brock Lesnar.

Chris Jericho is voted as the guest for Piper's Pit and as always, Roddy Piper brought the insanity. Jericho talked about the Legend's Handicap Match which Piper claimed not to remember. Honestly, who would be surprised if he was telling the truth? Vickie Guerrero and Dolph Ziggler walked out and talked. Jericho promised to beat Ziggler at Summerslam. The Miz arrived next and said the WWE Universe voting did not matter. Jericho and Piper preceded to beat up Miz and Ziggler. Piper was in rare form tonight and this segment entertained.

Dolph Ziggler defeated the WWE Intercontinental Champion the Miz and Chris Jericho in a Non Title Triple Threat Match. This triple threat match was the best match of the evening. They got a lot of time and they used it to shine. Jericho had the Walls of Jericho right on the Miz but Vickie got involved. Ziggler swooped in with the Zig Zag and scored the pin. Dolph Ziggler actually won a match. He's still the World Heavyweight Championship Money in the Bank holder for those of you who have forgotten.

Eve Torres and CM Punk chat. Punk promised to earn Cena's respect. Yeah, good luck with that one Punk.

Then Shawn Michaels and CM Punk met. Punk vowed not to stab John Cena in the back despite the fact he did not like him.

WWE Diva's Championship Layla and Kaitlyn scored the win Eve Torres and Beth Phoenix when Kaitlyn pinned Beth Phoenix with a roll up. Kaitlyn managed to score an impressive upset win over Beth Phoenix and held her down for the three count. The Glamazon was not thrilled.

Triple H still has not arrived at the building. At least they did not show him driving to the arena and then he would say that he had been in the back all day the first time he opened his mouth.

John Cena and The WWE Champion CM Punk defeated the Big Show and Daniel Bryan. Cena was destroyed for most of this match and Punk made the hot tag. The WWE Champion exploded into Cena's comeback. Cena tagged in and hit Punk's moves. Daniel Bryan fought back but Cena pulled out the Attitude Adjustment for the pin.

The WWE Champion drilled the Big Show in his head with the belt. After the fact, Punk offered Cena a handshake but Cena refused. Christopher Daniels would approve. Punk is rather upset about the lack of honor of John Cena and the disrespect.

Brock Lesnar and Shawn Michaels stare down face to face backstage.

Damien Sandow pinned Christian. Again, who did Christian hack off to get buried? Not that I mind Sandow winning but seriously. Neckbreaker from Sandow scored the pin on Christian. Epic cartwheel performed after the match by Damien Sandow. This was your wrestling main event.

The contract signing happened right now. Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman are out. Shawn Michaels came out to filibuster. Then Triple H came out. Heyman convinced Lesnar to just sign the contract and Lesnar does.

RAW was not over yet here.

Shawn Michaels told Triple H he will be in his corner but the Game's on his own. So, do they really have a secret plan or something?

Brock Lesnar destroyed Shawn Michaels off screen and dragged him off. Horrible doings were implied to HBK.

Lesnar hauled Shawn Michaels to the ring for more of a beating. Triple H was out but Heyman threatened HHH with the arm breaking of Shawn Michaels. Michaels sold this well and so did everyone. Lesnar broke the arm anyway and Triple H rushed to the ring. RAW might have dragged on this week but at least it ended on a memorable note.

The Lesnar/HBK/HHH storyline was good. Piper's Pit was good. Triple Threat match and the Punk/Cena versus Show/Bryan tag team match were good. Everything else on RAW could be skipped.
