WWE RAW from August 27th 2012 contained
a mixed bag as usual. The Wrestling Emporium will go over the events
of the RAW Supershow. The good, the bad, and the ugly will all be
detailed. A concise and more detailed RAW review and results.
available in the RAW section of this blog.
WWE RAW 08/27/12 Review.
The Good:
Jerry Lawler against CM Punk equaled pure wrestling goodness. It
really is a sad state of affairs in professional wrestling when the
sixty some year old Jerry Lawler wrestled circles around pretty much
everyone in the company. The storyline with CM Punk had been rather
good so far after a shaky start. After about a year, they got it
right with CM Punk.
Alberto Del Rio and Dolph Ziggler against Randy Orton and Sheamus was
your weekly really good RAW tag team match. Ziggler's heel work was A
Plus. Of course, Ziggler does the job once again.
Triple H's retirement speed just barely snuck by into this column.
The Bad:
John Cena against the Miz had another tedious by the numbers match.
Cena won with his moves. Right now, we all get the purpose of John
Cena. He is a necessary evil for WWE. Just like this three hour RAW
is a necessary evil. Although, you can cut the necessary part. Old
Marine beat the New Marine as John Cena picked up the win.
Anger Management skits really were bad. Especially considering I
watched an episode of the awesome Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy
cartoon the other night where Grim, Skarr, and Mandy were in Anger
Management class. That cartoon was far better. WWE should have ripped
it off. Daniel Bryan and Kane continue to have a tedious feud. Plus,
who wants to see nice and happy wrestlers?
So much filler on this show.
The Ugly:
Jack Swagger's chances for gainful employment and/or ever winning a
match again.
The sheer amount of matches I could care less about. I could have
sworn we did this same exact feud between Sin Cara and Cody Rhodes
between Cody Rhodes and Rey Mysterio. So will Cody go back to wearing
the facemask? Speaking of Rey, not present on this show. Did he get
injured again?
Another week of WWE RAW and another three hour show is down the
tubes.
