No Surrender Thoughts

No Surrender took place last night, the final show before Bound for Glory in October. The Wrestling Emporium will be going over the show right now, as I will detail the three things that I liked about this show and the three things that I did not like about this show. The No Surrender Results will be linked at the bottom of the page, along with a more fluid report so check that out.

TNA No Surrender 2012 Thoughts.

What I Liked.

The Tag Team Title Match was an awesome little spectacle. Kurt has gotten wrestling hurt down to a science. AJ Styles was his usual awesome self. Daniels and Kazarian should be the World Tag Team Champions of the World for a million years. The result was a really good tag team match.

The Bound for Glory Series matches really shined tonight. Special spotlight goes right on the battle between Samoa Joe and Jeff Hardy. The solid opening bout that is needed for a Pay Per View like this. Jeff Hardy and Joe went back and forth, and there were solid nearfalls.

X-Division Championship match really shined two top workers. Ion might have had a shaky start but he's growing on me. Dutt really impressed as usual and I hope to see him with the gold around his waist one day.

What I Didn't Like.

The Aces and Eights storyline is not as interesting as it was a month ago. Of course, there is still plenty of time to kick things up a notch in the lead up for Bound for Glory.

Hulk Hogan, the fifty some year old man with bad knees and a bad back, acting like a bad ass. Once again, this really defies belief. Even if he has a baseball bat, just kick the old fart's leg out from underneath his leg. Hulk's a good promo, then again he always was, but he should be hyping up the matches and not getting involved. I think that is the role where Hulk Hogan can shine.

The thrown together nature of this card made it seem like a glorified three hour Impact Wrestling we had to pay for. The wrestling was sound, it just seemed like a show where everything was an afterthought.

Overall No Surrender remained a solid Pay Per View Event. Hopefully Bound for Glory delivers and we can close out the 2011-2012 season of Impact Wrestling with a huge bang.
