31 Days Until Wrestlemania 28: The Rockers vs. the Twin Towers

The clock is winding as we are about to see the back of February, with thirty two days and counting to WWE Wrestlemania 28. We know the huge matches by heart by now but in case you missed them, we'll deal with them one more time. One year in the making it is the Rock vs. John Cena. Also the Undefeated Streak of the Undertaker is on the line in Hell in a Cell when he takes on Triple H one on one. Plus, the battle to see who the best in the world was, when WWE Champion CM Punk defends against Chris Jericho. And the 2012 Royal Rumble winner Sheamus challenges Daniel Bryan for the World Heavyweight Title.

We all know Shawn Michaels is Mr. Wrestlemania, as he has had more classic matches at the show of shows. As we kick off Shawn Michaels week here at the Road to Wrestlemania series, we head to Wrestlemania V, where the Rockers of Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty took on the Twin Towers of the Big Boss Man and Akeem with their manager, the Doctor of Style Slick. So from Wednesday to Wednesday, we'll take a look at some great Shawn Michaels Wrestlemania matches from his tag team battles with Marty Jannetty to his epic ladder match to his Iron Man Match to his huge matches with the Undertaker and everything in between.

31 Days Until WWE Wrestlemania 28: The Rockers vs. the Twin Towers

The Rockers might be one of the greatest tag teams in WWE history and the Twin Towers of Big Boss Man and Akeem were one of the more underlooked big men tag teams. With their manager Slick, Boss Man and Akeem actually played a part in the Mega Powers exploding at Wrestlemania 28. Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty were the new upstart team in the World Wrestling Federation, ready to get the win. It was speed versus power.

And Shawn Michaels entered this match, really in a rattled condition and still had a better performance than most of the roster. Then again many times during this time, the Rockers were either one or both strung out out something, and still had rather entertaining matches. Not saying that is a good thing but still a good thing.

The Rockers pulled off some slick double teaming moves but the power of the Twin Towers eventually got the better of them. Shawn Michaels was flattened with a huge power bomb and Akeem splashes him down for the pin. The first Wrestlemania match of Shawn Michaels ended on a down note but he would have many other great encounters.

Wrestlemania 28 is 32 Days Away on April 1st 2012.
