WWE returns to Pay Per View on Sunday Night, April 29th 2012, from the All State Arena in Chicago Illinois from Extreme Rules 2012. On this night, we have the long awaited one on one match between Brock Lesnar and John Cena, in addition to the Chicago Streetfight between Chris Jericho against CM Punk and Daniel Bryan getting his return match against Sheamus in a Best Two Out of Three Falls Match. Extreme Rules is Sunday and now it is time to rundown the back story involving the matches for WWE Extreme Rules.
WWE Extreme Rules 2012 Preview and Card
Brock Lesnar made his shocking return to WWE the night of Wrestlemania 28 and his target was John Cena. John Cena has been in a spiral downwards since his loss to the Rock at Wrestlemania 28, losing to the Rock and then Lord Tensai just a couple of weeks ago. Can Cena get his head in the game and beat Brock Lesnar? Or will he be destroyed by the wrecking machine?
CM Punk might have retained the WWE Championship against Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania 28, but Jericho continues to try and get in the head of Punk, in his question to regain the WWE Championship. Punk and Jericho will square off in Punk's hometown of Chicago in a Chicago Streetfight.
Eighteen seconds is a statistic that will taunt Daniel Bryan for quite some time. He tries to avenge the loss at Wrestlemania 28, when he takes on Sheamus in a Best Two Out of Three Falls Match. Daniel Bryan blames AJ for his loss but we'll see as it is time to put up or shut up, in a match where there will be no flukes, where one WWE Superstar has to win twice.
Kane scored the win at Wrestlemania 28 and continued to torment Randy Orton, bringing his family in the form of his father, "Cowboy" Bob Orton into the picture. At Extreme Rules, both men try to settle the score, squaring off one on one in a Falls Count Anywhere Match.
The Big Show finally got his Wrestlemania moment, at the expense of Cody Rhodes, capturing the WWE Intercontinental Title in the process. Cody Rhodes his his return match, and the RAW Roulette will determine the stipulation when Cody Rhodes takes on the Big Show.
Last Monday in a minor upset, Nikki Bella kept the WWE Diva's Championship over Beth Phoenix. At Extreme Rules, Beth Phoenix gets her return match, when she takes Nikki Bella for the WWE Diva's Title at Extreme Rules.
Plus tune into WWE's YouTube Channel at 7:30 PM Eastern Time, for the WWE United States Champion Santino Marella putting the belt on the line against the Miz. The Miz is looking for a stepping stone but Santino has hung onto that title well over the past few weeks.
There you have it, WWE Extreme Rules, April 29th 2012, from the All State Arena in Chicago on Pay Per View.
